Nursery Part 1

I finally took some pictures of the nursery. The tree mural is still not done but I couldn't wait anymore. We painted the walls a creamy yellow. The accent colours in the room are turquoise, orange and green.
The recliner in the picture above is where I have been sleeping the past few months. Not only does it recline it also rocks. One of the only purchases we made for the Bunny. The crib and night table were given to us by Kenrick's sister. My aunt made the crib skirt and drapes for us. Hanging on the crib is the quilt I finished for Bunny last week (more on that later). Next to the recliner is the night table from K's sister that we painted. The little white thing next to the lamp is Bunny's night light / sounds system. It plays nature sounds and can also be connected to a mp3 player. The whole thing lights up and has a timer. It's pretty cool.
Hanging above the crib is the felt bird mobile we bought from Etsy. The closet doors were removed and 2 Ikea dressers where custom fit to look built in. K and my dad used MDF for the surface top and we painted it the same colour as the walls. Bunny has lots of storage and there is still room for hanging. To the right we have the two alphabet and number posters that were also bought on Etsy. Below are the diaper pail and hamper. Yes we are still using cloth diapers, the neat thing is that the wash bag fits right inside the diaper pail and keeps the smell in.
Finally the play corner. All of Bunny's toys are here "under" the tree. To the right are 3 floor pillows that my aunt also made for Bunny. Toys range from a basket full of Lamaze toys, some old fashioned blocks and even a Fisher Price cash register. The space to the right under the tree is where the wall bookcase will go. Still a project that needs to be started, but seeing as I am 6 days away from my due date we decided to wait on this one. Stay tuned for some detailed photo's of some of the elements in the room.

Take care,
Lisa

Yes, where did you find the recliner? We're decorating in teal, orange-red and brown and I haven't had any luck with finding a recliner/glider yet.
