Okay so it is day 6 of the "eating plan" I don't know what my progress is as far as my weight (i find that out on Wednesday) but I'm glad to have my husband on board for the weight loss battle too.
It's funny once you start writing down what you eat you really get a good understanding of how well, or not s well, you eat. After all my planning and counting I got to work today to realize I don't have any protien intake -that is no meat. Now I am not a vegetarian, so a little meat would be nice :0) So now I have to make another adjustment to my "eating plan" yes counting points is good but you still have to maintain a balanced meal.
18 points is the number of points I should have every day. Now a salad is worth 0 pts if there is no dressing but worth 2 if there is 2 tbsp of low-fat dressing. That being said a banana is also 2 pts so is a can of tuna.
So after my first week of points and meal recording I have come to the realization that this is going to be harder than I thought!

Good luck with the weight loss program. One of my best friends is doing it at the moment and I'm trying to be as supportive as possible - we're having morning tea and lunch together today so I'll provide some healthier low point options. I LOVE the little baby blocks - very funky and that cushion - divine and so very luxurious! Thanks for popping by!
18??? Really? That seems really, really low...
Oh, ignore me, I'm just musing out loud here...
Anyhow - just wanted to wish you good luck with this endeavor! It's not easy, but it sounds like you've got a good game plan *and* good support!
yep, it's hard alright. Are you sure 18 is enough? How about your weeklies? Be sure to use those!!
