Canadian Eh?


Today my husband asked me to search for blogs about, music, dj's, or food. I think he might be hooked on blogs and just might be considering a blog of his own. Either way I found some Canadian food blogs and started to read them. I found one, Maple Syrup and Poutine. There was a list of Canadian foods and a challenge to mark off the items you have had. Below is the list, I will explain were nessecary.

I was very surprised to see that there are many I have not had. There are also a lot of items I have never heard of or had. Maybe time to seek and find them out....

Now a few of those you haven't eaten are easy peasy to find. You can get excellent frozen tourtiere at Loblaw's - we have it every Christmas Eve. You can also get maple flavoured baked beans at all the grocery stores now. They only used to be available in Quebec but now I find them at my local Sobeys in the GTA.

Interesting list. There were a few I hadn't heard of as well, but I have tried most of them.
