Guru answered my Prayers!

Remember this post where I questioned my style? I was pleased to receive several comments about my look and how stylish I was. Thanks ladies, but my esteem issues run deeper. To the tale of a lost stylist and almost 2 years of hair woes.

Picture it, Ajax 2008, I had moved away from my regular hairstylist after getting married and buying a house in Ajax (that was a bit like Sophia from the Golden Girls, too funny!). I went to high school with him and 2 years after graduation walked into a random salon in Markham and found him. Massimo did my hair for 2-3 years, including my wedding. I was very comfortable with him. Appointments were more of a social visit to catch up on news and discuss the plans of both of our weddings and the trials of being homeowners. He knew my style so well. I could walk in for a trim, or allow him creative freedom. Either way I was always pleased with his work (sometimes K and my dad weren't so pleased, I'll expand on this later). 6 months after we moved to Ajax, I was able to go for a haircut after much schedule juggling. 4 months after that I couldn't make it to Markham and went for a quick trim at a local salon. I felt so guilty. Like I was cheating on him. The next time I went to call for an appointment - the number was no longer in service! To my horror the salon that he was renting a chair from closed and he was no where to be found. I searched the Yellowpages, posted on Facebook and even drove by the old salon to see if there was a forwarding address, nothing. I was beside myself. I've spent the last year trying different stylist, always disappointed with the end product.

Today, while reading my regular blogs, I read about "D's" new do and how the wine made her do it. I couldn't help but laugh. When she spoke of her "stylist" I remembered Massimo and decided to search again.

This time I used the ever powerful Google. The first 2 pages came up with the old salon's contact info. No luck. The third page finally found a different listing. It was in Markham still, but no other information. I tried my luck and called. OMG I FOUND HIM!!!!! I got the answering machine and recognized immediately his wife's voice and the pleasant message she has recorded. I left an ecstatic message and my number where they could call me back. I remembered that they're closed on Monday's because they are open all weekend. At last my hair will be restored to it's former beauty and my ego will no longer have to worry about the state of my hair. Now if I could only get the wardrobe I've always dreamed of my look would be complete :)
